Harbor View Veterinary Hospital, located in Canton, is a busy 2 doctor small animal general practice that opened in the Fall of 2018. We take great pride in ensuring every patient receives gold standard care and a low-stress experience. Future team members will be responsible for monitoring general anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures, managing hospitalized patients, assisting in advanced diagnostics (radiographs, abdominal ultrasound, echocardiograms), triaging emergencies, and providing outstanding care.

Our “Fear Free” philosophy results in our patients receiving high-value treats, calming pheromones, and low-stress handling; and our team taking pride in their work and passion for veterinary medicine. Every team member is encouraged to further their education and grow.

Our team relies heavily on our veterinary nurse’s technical skills and ability to communicate with team members and clients. A qualified candidate must meet and demonstrate the requirements listed below:
• Obtain a detailed medical history, triage patients, and administer treatments under DVM supervision
• Understand preventative care recommendations and AAHA/AAFP vaccine guidelines
• Perform venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, lateral, and medial saphenous), cystocentesis, IV catheter placement, administer injections (IV, SQ, IM)
• Perform diagnostic imaging with digital x-ray and appropriate patient positioning; digital dental x-ray experience is a plus but not required
• Calculate drugs doses and fluid rates for surgical and hospitalized patients
• Must be skilled and knowledgeable with induction, intubation, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and recovery
• Experienced with low-stress patient handling and restraint
• Must be able to communicate and educate owners in a professional manner
• Eager to train and develop co-workers and support staff

Salary: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour – Compensation is based on experience and skill set that is competitive in our market.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Veterinary Client Service Representative. General practice CSR experience is required; familiarity with Cornerstone is preferred.

Our philosophy results in our patients receiving high-value treats, calming pheromones, and low-stress handling; and our team taking pride in their work and passion for veterinary medicine. Every team member is encouraged to further their education and growth.
Candidates are expected to meet and demonstrate the requirements listed below after their training period:
• Answering phones, taking messages, scheduling appointments
• Efficiently process payments
• Maintain all correspondence inpatient medical record
• Assist doctors and technicians with patient treatments
• Observing and reporting on the behavior and condition of animals
• Restraining animals for examination or treatment
• Ensure hospitalized animals are appropriately fed, groomed, and cared for
• Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment and exam rooms
• General Cleaning, laundry, sterilization of surgical equipment
